DirectShow Sample Application: Video File Playback (AVI, MPEG, etc.)
The AviPlay sample demonstrates how play AVI files using the MontiVision Smart Control.
This and other sample applications can be found in the MV Development Kit installation directory.
Use this application as a starting point for your own applications in case you need to handle video files as input.
Filter Graph Summary
The sample application uses a simple filter graph with a file source filter and an AVI Splitter. The MV Image Grabber Filter captures still images from the video stream.
The Application
The application contains a MontiVision Smart Control used to display AVI movie files. It can start, stop and pause the playback, capture images from the movie, change the playback speed and step through the movie frame by frame. using the MV Seeking Slider Control it can move to any position within the movie.
