How To: View Preview and Processed Video Stream
To preview a video stream at any point within the filter graph, delete the output pin connection of the filter you want to view. Insert the Smart Tee Filter (Video filter bar -> Transform -> General ) into the graph. The Smart Tee Filter has one input pin to connect with the pin you wish to preview and two output pins. The "Capture" output pin should be connected to the original filter graph (at the point where you 'broke' the connection earlier on). The "Preview" pin is used to preview the input signal. Render this output pin to preview the stream. The image below shows a filter graph which contains a preview window with the unprocessed video stream and a window with the processed video stream. (note: The Smart Tee filter is a generic DirectShow® filter).
